The integration of STEAM education into curricula has become a crucial goal for many schools. However, significant challenges arise:
Teachers, essential to this integration, have little to no knowledge of AI.
They are unsure of how to begin learning and implementing such advanced technologies.
Recognizing the importance of AI in modern education, these teachers needed a structured and accessible approach to learning AI.
This situation was faced by 30 teachers from 12 different schools. To overcome these initial barriers, they sought out Parami AI, an organization with extensive experience in teaching and developing AI solutions.
Parami and its education division EDU A.I. leveraged PARA AI Solution and MegaCHAT, an AI chatbot building tool, to develop a STEM AI Education platform that effectively deliver theory, software, and hardware education where teachers can learn from the chatbots in multiple devices.
Teachers were guided from having no prior knowledge to completing an AI chatbot and embedding it into a robot within just 2.5 hours. Each group of teachers was provided with a robot and installed the chatbots they created on MegaCHAT to the robots, resulting in interactive talking robots for cross-disciplinary subjects.
The PARA AI solution's structured approach made complex concepts like NLP accessible and teachable to secondary school teachers.
This approach empowered teachers with new technical skills, equipping them to introduce AI education in their classrooms effectively. Additionally, it provided teachers with soft skills such as value education, computational thinking, and design thinking, better preparing them to help students thrive in the tech-driven era.
The workshops not only improved teachers’ skills but also enabled them to enhance their teaching upon returning to school. MegaCHAT empowers teachers to build interactive chat applications across multiple subjects using the latest NLP AI technology. These chatbots function as invaluable teaching assistants in their day-to-day educational activities.
The creation of reusable chatbots capable of functioning across multiple devices added significant value, ensuring that the teachers' efforts would have lasting and versatile applications.
